The Personal Allowance is the amount of income you can earn before paying UK Income Tax. £12,570 for 2026-27 (frozen through 2028). Reduces £1 for every £2 earned above £100,000 — so at £125,140 the allowance is zero, creating a 60% marginal rate band.
