Our policy
Finance calculators should be right, and when they’re not, the fix should be public. Here’s how we handle errors:
- A reader emails help@vitthub.com with the page URL, the values they entered, and the result they expected — ideally with a screenshot.
- We verify against the primary source — tax department, central bank, statute, or equivalent — usually within 24 hours.
- If we’re wrong, we fix and deploy within 72 hours of confirmation.
- The correction is logged below: what was wrong, what’s now there, and who flagged it (with permission).
- We credit the reader — first name + city — unless they’d rather stay anonymous.
We don’t log typo fixes, cosmetic tweaks, or UI changes here — only things that would have affected a number a reader relied on.
The log
This is either a very good sign or a very bad sign. The site has been running since January 2025 and the site-wide review on Apr 2026didn’t turn up anything that affected a user-facing number. If you spot something that looks wrong, please email us — we’d rather fix it than pretend everything’s perfect.
Report an error
Email help@vitthub.com with:
- The page URL
- What you entered (so we can reproduce it)
- What you got
- What you expected (and where that expectation comes from — a bank statement, a tax slip, a government tool)
A screenshot helps. If you’d like to be credited when we fix it, say so in the email. Otherwise we’ll log the correction with “team review” as the reporter.
