A REIT owns and operates income-producing real estate and trades on a stock exchange. Indian REITs (Embassy, Mindspace, Brookfield, Nexus) pay out 90%+ of distributable income. Yield typically 5-7% plus capital appreciation. Good alternative to buying physical property.
