What is Critical Illness Cover?
A critical illness policy pays a lump sum (₹10–50 lakh typical) on the diagnosis of a listed disease — cancer, heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, major organ transplant. Independent of hospitalization; pays even if you recover. Useful to fund lost income during long recovery, home modifications, or experimental treatment.
