Definition

What is Bull Market?

A bull market is conventionally defined as a 20%+ rise from recent lows, sustained for months. US equities have averaged ~9% per year through roughly 25 bull markets since 1928. The longest (March 2009 – Feb 2020) ran nearly 11 years. Bulls end with recessions, rate shocks, or asset-price bubbles bursting.
